Alexander Edmund Martin is a CELTA-qualified English teacher. He is the winner of the Lancelot Scholarship Award, and has more than 10,000 hours of online teaching experience. His courses are currently used in 11 companies around the world, and he has over 150 private online students. His motto for students is "minimum effort, maximum result". Alexander has worked for leading ELT companies, including International House and EF (twice voted Englishtown 'teacher of the month'); he is a published materials writer (Efekta), teacher trainer, and author of 'Headline English' - the online English conversation course. Alexander is a graduate of Bristol University and has a B.A. in Modern Languages and Information Systems. After spending much of his childhood travelling the world, Alexander has now settled in Italy, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Always appreciative of a challenge, Alexander spent 2011 living in the former residence of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, where he taught English to a five-year-old boy. He is currently teaching a five-year-old boy in Moscow.

I enjoy seeking out new methods for teaching English and consider myself to be very experimental and innovative. I have taught in a wide range of situations, from 200-seater classes of university students in Turin, one-on-one with a five year old, and three Russian billionaires.
